SynopsisEaston Wells has spent years burying his guilt by digging up some of the world’s most renowned treasures while surviving the dangerous terrains in which they’re located—all captured for television. When his producers threaten to axe the show, he has no choice but to turn to the last person he still trusts—the girl he left behind. Rain Walker has made a name for herself documenting wild and endangered animals, and the last voice she expects to hear while shooting in South Africa is Easton’s. He’s more gorgeous than she remembers, but the pain in her heart is as fresh as ever. They’d once planned on spending the rest of their lives together, but after her father’s tragic death while on expedition in Israel with him, Easton bailed on their future together without an explanation. It’s been nine years, and yet the intense love they shared seems only a moment ago. When he asks her to film his latest treasure hunt, Rain wants to turn him down instantly. But when he explains it’s to the same cave that swallowed her father, she can’t say no. She wants to experience the last place her father was alive, and she’s beyond curious about what happened to the boy she used to love. They’ve got two weeks to locate a treasure that’s been lost for centuries, or Easton will lose the one thing in his life he’s come to depend on. As their old passion is reignited—and dark secrets uncovered—they face the extreme terrain of the mountain range that threatens them at every turn. As more than the wildlife and sharp drop-offs tries to kill them, Rain starts to question if the legendary treasure they seek—the same one her father had died trying to unearth—is truly meant to be found, or if some things, including their feelings for each other, are better left buried.

Words cannot express my love for Molly Lee and her writing. She gives you such a unique take with epic romance entwined within that it is such a page turning and keeps you guessing. I honestly found myself pulled so deep into this story like the caves Easton was hunting that I did not want out of this rabbit hole.
What I really loved about this book is that you have two amazing leads. Rain, who is from Easton's past and doesn't back down. Whether it be from her photography to going along with Easton to finally getting Easton to open up and finally opening her heart again. Easton is all kinds of swoon worthy. Tough but broken. Jaded but still in love with Rain because of his own faults. The blame he felt for as long as he did. These two together are pure magic and play so well off of each other. Their chemistry and their banter was classic. The little twists and turns Lee incorporated made the book even more enjoyable. I loved how she was his raindrop and he was her compass and together they mirror each other. It's like she purifies his soul and he keeps her going in the right direction, always coming back to that one direction of him.
Overall this book is one of my faves so far this year. So was Edge of Chaos. Lee gives such a one of a kind tale. Characters that are broken yet can be mended. Tales that are unique and one of a kind. Second chance love that is one of a kind. One thing is for sure is Molly Lee is one of those authors to watch out for. For she will be bringing us more of these amazing stories for a long time to come.
Once again Molly Lee has made me doubt my dull profession and rethink my career choice with her story of expert treasure hunter Easton and his treasure hunting filmmaker, Raindrop. Immediately upon opening this book, I was sucked into Lee’s treasuring hunting world filled with dust, deep caves, and echoing shuffles of feet, grunts and whispers. She had me hooked, enthralled and at times I swear I could find myself sneezing at the imaginary dust my mind had conjured up courtesy of the unbelievable well written story Lee had created. With East of Redemption, Lee really develops her craft and storytelling ability. She leads you on an epic journey with Easton and Raindrop as they seek the forbidden treasure of King Solomon but also the forbidden treasure of a second chance.
Easton has always been Rain’s compass and she his mirror. After years of struggling the loss of Rain’s treasure trove hunting father, Harrison, Easton and Rain set out together on a mission of their own uncovering the truths of Harrison’s predictions. Along the way, they battle their inner feelings of love and temptation toward one another. Inexplicably drawn together Easton and Rain must face all their fears both emotional and physical before coming full circle. Can these two make up for lost time?
Molly Lee is a force to be reckoned with. She wowed me with her debut novel Edge of Chaos, but she really reinforced my belief in her capabilities with East of Redemption. This writer isn’t here short term. She isn’t a one hit wonder or a fluke. She’s here to stay. Her growth as a writer continues to astound me. I for one, am excited to see what continued development we will see from Lee. Her outside the box storylines are refreshing but still contain all the components of a great romance. Her talent astounds me and she’s only just beginning. Hop aboard Molly’s Mayhem train now and read her books. I promise you that you won’t walk away without singing wonderful praises of her stories.
