Expect the unexpected. That's what they say, but it's easier said than done.
How do you expect a change so huge it rocks you to your core?
How do you prepare yourself for an event that will alter your life forever?
One day at a time, you learn to live with your unexpected reality.
Man, oh man can Kaylee Ryan write some amazing books! Unexpected Reality was just another one of those amazing books to add to her writing collection. Ryan really outdoes herself by not only capturing your attention but really captivating you until the very end.
In Ryan’s new book, she gives us the story of Ridge Beckett and his unexpected reality. This carefree, hot as hell ladies man has the ultimate wake up call when Fate steps in and alters his life forever. Sometimes even the smallest of things are deal changers, upheaving your reality into something completely unexpected, yet so right. Ridge not only stands up, but shines as Fate intervenes causing ovaries to literally explode at the man Ryan has perfectly created. Ridge needs a warning label. ;)
Even though this book reads very similar to another one of Ryan’s books- Southern Pleasure, Unexpected Reality manages to hold it’s own against its counterpart. The characters within this story grab your heart strings, make you laugh, and have you begging for more. I found myself interested not only in Ridge but the supporting characters as well. I can only hope other readers will share my fondness for these characters and beg right along with me for Ryan write their stories as well. I know I’m not ready to let them go just yet.
Ryan really surprised me a few times when reading this story. Her plotline was solid, yet riddled with twists and turns I never saw coming. Some of which only added to this incredible story and some of which I thought were a little forced and unnecessary. But through my surprise and plot twist travels, I was still completely engaged, enthralled, and in love with Unexpected Reality. It’s definitely a book that is worth your one click and a novel worth standing behind to support. Ryan, if you read this, give me some more unexpected love with Tyler and Reagan’s story!
