My grandfather had once told me that life was an unpredictable beast—one moment calm with a full belly and heavy eyes, and the next, digging its paws in the dirt, snarling just before it took down its next victim. Until recently, I would argue with that notion, listing all the reasons why my life was as predictable as the tides coming and going. While I listened, I was young and never put much thought into a lot of the things my grandfather told me, but all that changed when the Hunters moved back to Sandpoint. More specifically, Wes Hunter. That was when the impossible became possible and the predictable became unpredictable.

As Abigail Rose looked down on her new world, she couldn’t deny the things she had seen and all the things she had learned. There were days she wished she could go back to her old life, but she had changed. Evolved. She was no longer a love-struck seventeen year old. She was a chosen leader and her path was undeniable. The black and white was fading to gray, and the only thing between mortals and immortals was her.

With this being Dani Hart's first published work in two years, you would have never thought that. This book takes you on an amazing journey of self discovery and delves into a world that feels like it could be really out there. While yes it does feel comparable to Twilight, I found this book had more depth and gives you an unique spin on something that leaves you begging for more. Don't get me wrong, I love Twilight, but this book left me with feelings of want, intrigue and left me guessing what will happen next.
I love the character of Abby. She is strong yet shy and reserved but very passionate about things in her life. She is one of those characters that leaves you in awe of her quiet strength. You have Wes, who is someone that she has been in love with forever. Then you toss Elijah into the mix and you have one insane love triangle.
The concept of the Order has me left with a lot of questions and I really need more. I really enjoy Hart's style of writing as she is very descriptive and it feels like her words paint a picture in front of you while you read. If you are a fan of Twilight, Vampire Academy and the like, you will very much want to read this one. I am very much looking forward to what is to come in this series! Amazing just doesn't seem to cut it for this book.. it's so much more!

and so many other things.
I love my life and am so grateful for all of the support and have the courage to live a dream.
