Oh my heart! Oh Karen Frances, my heart and soul are just bound to Fletch and Jess. I think what amazes me is the passionate fire in both Fletch and Jess. Even with everything going on around them. Be it the fire for each other or the fire to push through life despite all the kinks that get thrown at them.
This book starts up right where the first leaves off. You could honestly feel the pain that Jess if feeling while struggling to heal as well as struggle to live with life in the limelight. But in the long run she does it with such poise and grace, she could tell you where to go and how to do it and you will say thank you in the end! I love her sass and spunk! Regardless of being put in so many awkward positions, she fights through it. She really makes you want to be her best friend!
Then you have Fletch. A man who never knew love or what love meant. Then you have these curve balls thrown at him that totally blindsided him and he didn’t know how to take everything in and deal. I felt that his reactions were so real and relatable. The arguments and issues that arise between Fletch and Jess are SO real. I felt like I was watching a movie play out in front of me as I read it.
Overall, best series of the year so far for me. The connection that I felt throughout this book just deepened from the first. I found that the author carries such topics with grace and handled them in such a realistic way. Add the passion and banter that Fletch and Jess have, you can’t help but be drawn into this world that Karen Frances has created. All I gotta say is, where can I get my own Fletch to hide in the closet?? LOL
