On a random night out with her girlfriends, Taye experiences something she hasn’t before.

Instant attraction.

Between vodkas and dance moves she probably shouldn’t be doing in public, never mind on a podium, she meets him.

She’s never had a one night stand before, and to have one is on her list of things to experience in her life.

Not only that, but the chemistry is off the charts.

Decision made.

She’s going home with this man, and she’s not going to regret it when she leaves him in the morning.

Or at least that’s what she thinks.

As a huge fan of Chantal Fernando’s MC series books, I was excited to see something so different. I think the most amazing thing about this book, and you will see this in the start of the book, is about how real this book is. How much life is messy no matter what you do and who you fall in love with. How you cannot control who you love and who you want to be with but the timing is always off.
I really loved Taye’s character. She was brutally honest but also so passionate over who she wants in her life. I felt a real connection with her as this story reminds me in a lot of ways. There were a lot of times with Eli that I wanted to smack him. Taye gave everything to him yet he held back. Though you could feel that pull that he has to her. He couldn’t let go no matter how much he tried and how long they had been a part.

Overall, this book felt like it was playing out right in front of you. This could happen to anyone you know. I really enjoyed the realness of this story and how it played out. Also really liked how love wins in the end, even though Eli was a jerk most of the time LOL.
