Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done. Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant. Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy. Oops.  My mistake.  Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology. I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right? That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning. Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant. I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking. Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West. This was going to be interesting…

This has to be one of my favorite Vi Keeland books to date. It started with a bang and continued with every little twist and turn. I found myself emotionally vested in this story and when certain things came to light, I was yelling and wanting to cry!
I really loved Rachel’s character. She was a strong yet soft natured person with a lot of sass. She doesn’t back down no matter what and she sure gave Professor West a run for his money! The nature of Rachel’s background is a heartbreaking one but the way it was all intertwined was utterly brilliant. Caine is a tortured soul after having a crazy youth. Enter the girl who has it all and the chemistry to knock him off his feet.. well to say he was screwed was putting it mildly. The fact that Rachel was his TA made things all the more torturous for him!
Overall, this book had me melting. The chemistry, the wit and the banter! Was an amazing package and the twists have you emotionally gutted when things come to light! I highly recommend this one to anyone, especially Vi Keeland fans. This one was amazing!
